We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 loca grants: Falmouth Museums on the Green; North Falmouth Elementary PTO; Falmouth Clipper Quarterback Club; Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break; & Belonging To Each Other!





The grants will support the following:
Falmouth Museums on the Green: two key initiatives designed to enhance accessibility, interactivity, and educational opportunities for children and families visiting the Museums on the Green:
Animal House Tour Interactives: An engaging, hands-on tour for children to learn about symbolism in historical artifacts through the exploration of animal motifs in items such as porcelain, textiles, and mirrors. This is a tour through the c. 1790 Dr. Francis Wicks House, owned by the Falmouth Historical Society. Grant will cover supplies for hands on components. Art Carts: Interactive, make-and-take activity stations in gallery spaces, including sensory tools like fidget toys to ensure inclusivity for visitors with autism or sensory sensitivities.

North Falmouth Elementary PTO: will support enrichment from Li Lu Chinese Acrobatics, during Asian American Heritage month in May. This is a one-woman Chinese acrobatic performance. Li Lu performs hand balancing, plate spinning, artistic cycling, ribbon dancing and more. She engages the audience with educational connections with the Chinese language and culture, explaining rituals like Chinese New Year. This will provide both students and staff with exposure to Asian culture and traditions as well as artistic dance & movement and athletic inspiration. It is an opportunity for all students and staff to be present and walk away learning Chinese rituals, language and a better understanding of Chinese culture.
North Falmouth Elementary PTO: will support enrichment from Li Lu Chinese Acrobatics, during Asian American Heritage month in May. This is a one-woman Chinese acrobatic performance. Falmouth Clipper Quarterback Club: grant will help to support the purchase of the guardian caps which will help reduce the risk of concussions and impact of collins. They are soft shells pads that attach to the outside of football helmets which help reduce severity of impact by at least 10% and by 20% if both players are wearing the. According to the NFL Guardian caps have reduced concussions by up to 52% currently.
Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break: This grant will support the design and research for a reintegration program for adults ages 20-24 returning to Falmouth after deployment.
