Ethan Parmentier is being honored this week as part of our Student Recognition Program. He is an accomplished Honor Roll student who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to science, leadership, and community service. Ethan is a member of the Science National Honor Society, where he currently serves as Treasurer, reflecting both his academic excellence and commitment to leadership.

Ethan’s achievements in STEM are particularly impressive. He earned 3rd place in the Falmouth High School STEM Fair in 2023, 2nd place in 2024, and 3rd place again in 2025. He also received Honorable Mention at the MSEF Region V STEM Fair and was invited to participate in the Student Symposium at MIT. In recognition of his outstanding work, Ethan received the Jae S. Lim Foundation Excellence in Science Award as well as the Citizen Scholarship Award from the University of Vermont. Most recently, he was awarded a $5,000 grant from the Marjot Foundation for the 2025–2026 school year to develop a new water quality monitoring probe.

Beyond the classroom, Ethan is a strong leader within his school community. He serves as Captain of the Falmouth High School FIRST Robotics Team, where he also leads the Electrical and Software teams, and is Captain of the Mock Trial Team. These roles highlight his ability to combine technical skill with teamwork and leadership.

Ethan is equally committed to service and hands-on learning in the community. He volunteers as an Animal Care Assistant at the National Marine Life Center and as a Volunteer Educator at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where he also serves as an Archives Technician and an Alvin Ambassador. He has worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Children’s School of Science and volunteered on the Dylan Fernandes State Senate campaign, further demonstrating his dedication to civic engagement.
