Nine local service organizations were recently awarded Rotary Club of Falmouth Cape Cod Local Philanthropy Grants to further their work to help people from all backgrounds thrive in Falmouth. The club (currently in its 99th year of existence) awarded grants of either $1000 or $500 to the following organizations:
With these grants, these organizations will provide: children's books in multiple languages particularly Kriolu for schools and libraries, clothing and supplies for Falmouth foster families, Music at the Table for recipients of hot meals, food for Falmouth families in need of assistance, support for the Celebrations after-prom party to keep Falmouth teens safe, lacrosse equipment to provide access to the sport for Falmouth students of all backgrounds, funds for an internship to help farm the Falmouth community gardens, support of the Little Lighthouse Keepers Program with the Coalition for Children, and 4 financial fraud workshops for Falmouth veterans and families.
