We introduced the College Scholarship Awardee and met another oustanding Falmouth High School Senior.

Thanks to Rich Edes - this story was lifted from the August 9 Foghorn...

Tag team introductions. Walt P began with thanks to all those who have made our student of the week and scholarship program a success. Those include all of us for putting up the money to make it happen - over $90K in scholarship to date; and the hard working committee that decides on the deserving recipients - Ron E, Will B, Fran D, and Wade C. This year there were 15 applicants and they were all exceptionally qualified. The recipient was Kaycee Farland who is a Junior at UMass Amherst. Her resume goes on for awhile but she had a 3.47 GPA at FHS and now has a 3.25 at UMass. Kaycee volunteers at Falmouth Hospital and works as a lab tech. She is a PAL volunteer and assist individuals with disabilities as a classroom assistant and tutor and friend. We wish you all the best in your time at UMass.

Will B did the introduction for Molly Woods our student of the week who was accompanied by her mother, Elizabeth. Molly excels at academics being on Honor Roll for her entire time at FHS (so far) and being a cum laude latin scholar. She plays a variety of sports - volleyball, basketball, lacrosse and cross country. Molly also volunteers to work with individuals with disabilities. Best of luck for your future.
