Native American Day

Learn more about our Natvie American neighbors in Mashpee, the Wompanoag
We have the opportunity to honor Wampanoag people through several events like Wampanoag Heritage Day in August and the National Day of Mourning, observed by the United American Indians of New England (UAINE) on Thanksgiving. Wampanoag culture is also highlighted during Indigenous Peoples' Day celebrations in October. Additionally November is dedicated to celebrating the history, cultures, and achievements of Native American communities, including the Wampanoag.
