Christian Sullivan is the Rotary Club of Falmouth Student of the Week! Christian is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Science, Math and Spanish Honor society. He serves as president for the Science Honor Society, vice president for the Math and secretary for the National Honor Society. He is an AP Scholar with Distinction and received a Distinction of Merit Award in writing from the National Council of Teachers of English and was a Book Awards recipient.  He has served since 10th grade as the class of 2024 representative to student government having previously served freshman year as the class vice president and the boys state representative junior year. He was also the student representative on the search committee for an FHS Athletic Director. 

Christian is a varsity athlete playing hockey, soccer and lacrosse receiving the Coach’s award sophomore year in hockey, the sportsmanship award in soccer his junior year.  

In his spare time Christian volunteers with the Falmouth Road Race, as a science/engineering fair judge for Falmouth Public Schools,  and a tutor for Science, Math and Spanish. He has his certification for safety with America’s Boating course and works as a caddie and outside operations at the Sacconnessett Golf Club.

Anna Bennett is the Rotary Club of Falmouth Student of the Week!
Anna is a high honor roll student at Falmouth High School - Massachusetts. She is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Science, Math and Spanish Honor society and serving as president of the Science and vice president of Spanish. She has received the Jae Lim award for science.
Anna is a varsity athlete serving as captain of the Softball team, plays travel softball and varsity volleyball. She runs an after school Spanish program at Mullen Hall Elementary, is a Peer Tutor and a Peer Mentor. In addition she is the Class of 2024 Secretary & Treasurer. In her spare time she volunteers with the Falmouth Service Center, the Falmouth Road Race, Falmouth Softball club as an assistant coach and other honor society volunteer work.
 
Thomas is a high honor roll student for the past 4 years. He is a member of the National Honor Society for Math and French and serves as President in the French Honor Society.
 

Thomas plays varsity basketball and is a varsity tennis captain after having been a sophomore all star. He volunteers with younger kids at church engaging in studies and games. He is also a senior class representative.

El is a high honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society as well as several other National Honor Societies including: Mathematics (Mu Alpha Theta) and Art, serving as President. El has also joined the Latin and Greek honor societies this year. El additionally has over 50 hours of volunteering and tutoring.

Harley Smith is an Eagle Scout and Honor Roll student. He is Cape Cod Community College Dual Enrollment Student and a leader in the FHS Robotics Club. He has received the Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology from the University of Rochester. He also received the BSA Ad Altare Dei Award and Order of the Arrow BSA Honor Society.

In his spare time, Harley is an alter server with St. Joseph Guardian of the Holy Family Parish and a member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 42 in Falmouth. He is also a member of the FHS Hockey League and a WHOI OOI intern.

Congratulations to Aiden Corey, one of this year's Youth Merit Award winners from Falmouth High School - Massachusetts. Aiden is a National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society member. He won the book award from Salve Regina University and was chosen to participate in the Boys 2023 State through the American Legion at Stonehill College, He has played baseball at FHS during his freshman and sophomore years. He participates in the Latin club, Interact Club and Debate Club and also has over 50+ hours of volunteer time at the Falmouth Service Center.

Congratulations to Anthony Celeste one of this year's Youth Merit Award winners from Falmouth High School - Massachusetts. Anthony is a national honor society member, was a prior class president and was last years speaker for convocation. He has created a student union at FHS, is a peer mentor, a middle school basketball coasmch and a volunteer at East Falmouth Elementary School. Congratulations to Anthony!
We recognized rising Falmouth High School - Massachusetts senior, Ryan Simone with a Scholastic Achievement award. Ryan, the son of Cynthia & Rodney Simone is a Honor Roll student and a National Honors Society student including for Science. He has participated in the Bridgewater Regional State Science Fair and the MIT State Science Fair and was a recipient of the George Eastman Young Leaders Award as well as a Climate Ambassador for Cape Cod. He is the Captain for the Varsity Soccer Team and a member of the Latin Club. He is an active volunteer with Falmouth Road Race; VIPS Elementary Track Meet; Club Soccer; and participated in Earth Day for the schools at Goodwill Park. Congratulations Ryan!

Jean Vazquez,  a graduate of Falmouth High School,  is the winner of the 2019 Rotary Club of Falmouth, Cape Cod Scholarship for College Juniors.  Jean is a Neuro-science major at Stonehill College  in Easton, MA.  He will graduate in 2021 with a BS degree.  Jean plans to continue his education towards advanced degrees. Congratulations to Jean!
 
 
Congratulations to this week's Student of the week: Abby Chorches, a rising senior at Falmouth High School Falmouth Public Schools - Massachusetts. Abby is a high honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society and the National Arts Honors Society. She is a varsity track & field athlete and the Division 3 Champion in the Shot Put. In addition to her academics, Abby volunteers with the Falmouth Road Race and at East Falmouth Elementary School with the PTO. In her spare time Abby works at Smitty's Ice Cream in East Falmouth and babysits. She plans to attend a 4 year college after high school to major in social work as well as continue her athletic career. Congratulations Abby!

Emily is a varsity basketball player receiving the Coaches Award and a member of the National Honor Society. Emily plans to attend a 4 year college and seek a career where she can impact people's lives. Congratulations to Emily!
Congratulations to Student of the Week William Andrade!
 
William also known as Colby is a Rising Senior at Falmouth High School with a GPA of 3.19, an Honor Roll student and Percussionist. He was selected for the honors program wind ensemble for the past 2 years as we as selected for the All Cape Music Festival this past year.
 
Colby is also an athlete running on the Winter Track Team as well as playing Varsity Soccer and Club Soccer. Colby is a Life Scout and is currently working on his Eagle Scout Project which will help our local community.
 
Colby volunteers as a junior Deacon at his church, at the Falmouth Service Center, at the Cape Cod Marathon, Relay and Half, & Falmouth Road Race. He currently work at Cape Cod Country Club.
 
In his spare time he enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking and kayaking!

Meet Molly Gedney, Student of the Week!

Molly is a Rising Senior at Falmouth High School. She is a Honor Roll student, in the National Honor Society including the Art, Math and Tri-M Music Honor Societies. She participates in the Latin Club, All Cape Music Festival, and Peer Mentoring. She is also an athlete participating on both the Field Hockey and Tennis teams.

Molly works currently at La Cucina Sul Mare as a hostess and enjoys reading, music and outdoor activities. In her spare time Molly volunteers in the community with the Falmouth Road Race, the Annual Cleanup in West Falmouth, Math Tutoring with Mrs. Gilbert at North Falmouth Elementary School and Art at Teaticket Elementary School, as well as at Cape Cod Church in the small groups and the nursery.

Her plans after high school include attending a 4 year Christian College and majoring in Psychology with an interest of becoming an Occupational Therapist.

Congratulations Molly!

Last week our student of the week was Jake McKenzie. Jake is an honor student and athlete, playing golf, hockey and baseball. An avid golf player he has been playing since he was a toddler, and now has a handicap of just under 6! He has played in state golf tournaments and other student invitationals. In his spare time he dabbles as a stock trader on e-trades, volunteers at the Falmouth Service Center as well as Falmouth Ice Arena teaching little ones to skate and hockey 101. He also serves as a student tour guide at FHS for school choice prospects.
Congratulations to Student of the Week Shu-Tong Murray!
 
 
Shu-tong Murray, daughter of Mark Olenick & Jim Murray, received the Dartmouth College book award, has consistently made honor and high honor roll as well as participates actively on the school gymnastics team and sailing.  Shu-tong is actively involved in many clubs at school including, science, math, french and art as well as the National Honor Society. She is also a part member of the Interact Club!  She also works at Buffalo Jump at Coonamessett Farm as well as volunteers at Highfield Hal and even plays the cello. Her future plans include attending a 4 year college majoring in science or engineering while potentially minoring in art, graphic design or cinematography. Her dream is to work for National Geographic and looks forward to traveling the world. Congratulations to Shu-tong Murray and her family on her amazing achievements!

Congratulations to Victoria Roulston, the 2019 Women's Athletic Scholarship Winner!

We are proud to announce that Victoria is our winner this year of a $1000 scholarship due to her success at being a women's scholar athlete. Torie will be attending Southern New Hampshire University where she will major in criminal justice. She graduated with a 3.76 as an honors/AP student, is a member of Tri M Music Honors society, Mu Alpha Theta-a math honors society and the National Honors Society. She played for the women's Varsity Soccer team at Falmouth High School as a striker, was active with student government, Symphony Band as well as has volunteered with Jack's Pact, the Falmouth Service Center fundraiser for cancer, a volunteer referee and coach with the Rec Center and a counselor with the Scorpions soccer club. In addition to this busy schedule this impressive young woman also works for at the Falmouth Commodores concession stand, Cape Grille, Pies A La Mode Cafe, and Falmouth Nursing Home.
