Brooke Farrington is being honored this week as part of our Student Recognition Program. She is an outstanding student who has demonstrated strong academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to her school and community. Brooke is a member of the National Honor Society, where she serves as Vice President, and has earned Academic High Honors throughout her freshman, sophomore, and junior years. She is also a member of the Math Honor Society and has been recognized with the Award of Highest Honor in Math and Science from the Society of Women Engineers.
Brooke’s accomplishments extend beyond the classroom. She is the recipient of the George Edson Youth Leadership Award and was selected for the Clipper Connections Leadership Training program, an honor awarded by faculty. She was also a finalist for the National Youth Leadership Forum Business and Leadership Program at Yale, further highlighting her dedication to leadership and personal growth.
A standout athlete, Brooke has been deeply involved in volleyball, playing at both the freshman and varsity levels, as well as competing in travel club volleyball year-round. She has served as both Freshman and Varsity Volleyball Captain and earned multiple Coaches Awards for sportsmanship and leadership. She was also named a Cape and Islands League All-Star and recognized as Clipper of the Week by her school’s Athletic Director.
Brooke is an active leader within her school community. She has served as a Student Government Representative for three years and is the Founder and President of the GIB (Give It Back) Club, a volunteer organization focused on giving back to the community. She is also involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including Mock Trial, Model United Nations, Best Buddies, Glam Girl Club, Women in STEM, Women in Business, SASH Club, Pickleball Club, and Science Fair.
Her commitment to service is extensive. Brooke has volunteered through community clean-up initiatives, including local Styrofoam recycling efforts, and has dedicated time to tutoring both elementary and high school students. She has also supported youth athletics by helping train younger volleyball players and contributed to class fundraisers and community events.
In addition to her academic, athletic, and service commitments, Brooke balances part-time work experience, including roles as a host at Woods Hole Golf Club and La Cucina Sul Mare, as well as a retail associate at TJ Maxx, demonstrating responsibility and a strong work ethic.
