The Rotary Club of Falmouth recently presented $12,663.74 to Tommy’s Place, representing funds raised through the 6th Annual Rotary Club of Falmouth Golf Classic Presented by the Kevin & Karen Lynch Foundation, held June 8, 2026, at Pocasset Golf Club.
The annual Golf Classic brings together golfers, local businesses, sponsors, volunteers and community members for a day of fellowship, fun and giving back. This year, those efforts resulted in a $12,663.74 donation to Tommy’s Place, continuing the Rotary Club of Falmouth’s commitment to supporting children and families on Cape Cod.
Tommy’s Place provides children fighting cancer and their families with free, memory-making Cape Cod vacations, giving families an opportunity to spend meaningful time together away from hospitals, appointments and the challenges of treatment.
“Each year, this tournament shows just how generous our community can be when people come together for a great cause,” said Rudy Hunter, Chair of the Rotary Club of Falmouth Golf Classic. “We are tremendously grateful to the Kevin & Karen Lynch Foundation, our sponsors, golfers, volunteers and everyone who contributed to making this year’s event such a success. Seeing what that collective effort is able to provide for Tommy’s Place is what makes this tournament so meaningful.”
The Rotary Club of Falmouth is especially grateful to the sponsors whose generosity played an important role in making the 2026 Golf Classic possible. The Kevin & Karen Lynch Foundation served as the tournament’s presenting sponsor. Major sponsors also included the William & Linda Zammer Foundation as Sapphire Sponsor; Hartel Realty and Nauset Disposal as Emerald Sponsors; and Cape Cod Healthcare and Henrik & Laura Gulmann as Jade Sponsors.
“This is what Rotary is all about—bringing people together and turning that collective generosity into something that has a real impact,” said Amy Leonardi, Golf Classic Co-Chair and Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Falmouth. “To be able to present $12,663.74 to Tommy’s Place and know what that support means for children fighting cancer and their families makes all of the work that goes into this event incredibly worthwhile. We are so thankful to every sponsor, golfer, donor and volunteer who helped make it possible.”
The partnership with Tommy’s Place also comes as the Rotary Club of Falmouth looks ahead to an important milestone. In 2027, the club will celebrate its 100th anniversary and plans to mark a century of service through 100 Acts of Service throughout the year.
“As we approach the Rotary Club of Falmouth’s 100th anniversary, we are looking forward to celebrating a century of service by completing 100 Acts of Service throughout the year,” said Adrienne Baumann, President of the Rotary Club of Falmouth. “We hope that additional projects supporting Tommy’s Place, along with our 2027 Golf Classic, will be part of those 100 acts. It feels especially meaningful to enter our next century of Rotary by continuing to serve alongside organizations like Tommy’s Place that make such an extraordinary difference for children and families.”
Beyond its support of Tommy’s Place, the Rotary Club of Falmouth’s fundraising efforts help further the club’s broader mission of service. Throughout the year, the club supports local philanthropy, youth and education initiatives, scholarships, community programs, environmental projects and international service efforts.
